The retouch desk: correct wardrobe, setting and light on frames that almost made the cover. One change per job, originals preserved.

Retouch your own creations and media you hold rights and consent for.

Per-job credit pricing is shown before you confirm. A retouch produces a new version; your original stays untouched in your account.

The retouch desk

Every issue has a frame that is ninety percent cover: the pose lands, the light is right, the outfit belongs to a different story. The retouch desk exists for those frames. Describe the change in plain language — wardrobe, setting, light, detail — and the frame is re-rendered with the change applied and the composition kept. Per-job pricing is shown before you confirm, and the original stays untouched in your account, like a negative in the file.

The retouch workflow

1

Mark frames worth saving

Strong pose and light, wrong details. A frame with bad bones costs more to retouch than to reshoot.

2

Note one change at a time

One instruction per job keeps the rest of the frame stable and the cost predictable.

3

Proof both versions

Original and retouch sit side by side in your account. Run the winner; the other costs nothing more.

Notes the desk gets most

Wardrobe

Restyle the frame

One shoot dressed for the cover, the feature and the after-hours pages — the fastest way to fill an issue.

Setting

Move the backdrop

Studio to hotel suite to café table without moving the subject or the light.

Grade

Relight the scene

Daylight to evening, soft to dramatic — match a frame to the story it is joining.

Notes that retouch cleanly

Wardrobe note

“Change the tomato-red blazer to a deep green velvet jacket, keep the pose, hair and lighting identical.”

Names the change and explicitly protects everything else. “Keep identical” clauses are cheap insurance.

Setting note

“Move the scene to a marble hotel bathroom with warm mirror light, keep the subject and pose unchanged.”

One environment swap. Asking for a new setting, new outfit and new pose in one job is a reshoot, not a retouch.

How is retouching priced?

Per job, shown before you confirm. Retouching a keeper is normally cheaper than reshooting and re-culling a set.

Does a retouch overwrite my original?

No. A retouch produces a new version; the original stays in your account untouched.

How many changes can one job make?

Note one change per job. Stacked changes destabilise the parts you wanted to keep.

Can I retouch uploaded photos too?

Yes — your own photos follow the same consent rules as every upload in the studio.

What if the retouch misses?

Narrow the note and name what must stay identical. Vague notes are the main cause of drifting retouches.
